Looking For A Magnetic Fly Screen?
Magnetic fly screens for windows and doors, held on a strip rather than screws.
How the magnetic fixing works
A self-adhesive magnetic strip runs around the window frame. The screen sits on a slim PVC frame and grips that strip. There are finger tabs on the bottom corners: pull one, the corner lifts, you open the window, and letting go brings the screen back.
Why it suits rented homes
Nothing is drilled and nothing is permanent. The strip holds for years and then lifts away without pulling the finish off the frame, so there is no hole to explain at the end of a tenancy.
On a door it closes itself
The magnetic screen door has up to 40 magnets sewn into the fabric down the full height of the centre seam, so the two halves pull together from top to bottom as you walk through. Budget door screens use 26 or fewer, which shuts the middle and leaves the top and bottom gaping.
Not sure, or your opening is an odd size?
Tell us the width and height of the frame opening and we will come back with a price. There is no charge and no obligation, and if a standard size would do the job we will say so.
