Magnets on a window and magnets on a door
They solve different problems. On a window the magnets hold the whole screen to a strip around the frame, so it lifts off in one piece. On a door they run down the centre seam so the screen parts as you walk through and pulls itself shut behind you.
The strip is sold separately too
If you are building a screen from parts, or repairing a run that has lifted, magnetic strip is sold by the metre. A metre includes both mating strips: the one fixed to the frame and the self-adhesive one.
What actually fails
Not the magnets. Magnetic strip does not lose its magnetism through use. What fails is the adhesive bond, and almost always because the frame was not clean and dry when the strip went on.
